We currently offer the following four (4) hour elective courses with more being added each month.
All of the courses are approved by the North Carolina Real Estate Commission.
With the number of homes going into foreclosure and short sales today reaching unprecedented highs, it is increasingly important for licensees to stay current on these topics so as to remain competitive and successful in the market. This course discusses four hot topics in today's market: foreclosures, short sales, REOs, and auctions.
Focusing on the legal ramifications of these topics, this course also reviews ways that agents can successfully market these properties.
Property Management and Managing Risk
This course will explore property management and it's inherent risks and rewards. Topics will include commercial and residential property management, owner/tenant relationships, Leases and Tenant issues and Safety Issues. This is a very extensive overview of property management and the function of a property manager.
Sustainable Housing & Building Green: What Agents Should Know
This course presents the fundamental basics of sustainable housing, or building "Green," as it relates to real estate professionals and their clients. Discussion includes the role of agents, consumer concerns, key terminology, and more.
This course describes qualifications for reverse mortgages and explores the application process, fees, closing costs, tax benefits, and treatments of reverse mortgages.
It details how seniors can use reverse mortgages to purchase a second home or use equity in their current home without having to make mortgage payments. Case
studies allow students to understand how reverse mortgages can be implemented in real-life scenarios in today's market
Ethics - The Road to Success in Today's World.
This class will satisfy both your four hour elective requirement and your Ethics requirement for the next quadrennial period. This course takes you on a road trip throught the code of Ethics. We will review actual examples of current advertising, communications and social media that uses that may create violations of the Code of Ethics.. This is a very interactive class where participants will determine if the activity get a green, yellow or red light.
